Xoar 3 blade wood props

Hey gang,

I was just wondering, has anyone used the Xoar 3 blade wood props?

I've been using the 3 blade GWS props for a little while now. While they are an absolute paint to balance, once that is good I like them. The problem though is that they only go up to 10 inch (and they are a little flimsy). I see that the Xoars go much larger than I would need, but are pretty expensive. (approx $100/pair) I wouldn't mind the price if I knew a little more about their performance.

Any input appreciated.

I just followed a thread to a guys shop the other day form here that had em for i thought half that.......... bartman was on the thread, was titled something about motor efficiency. had motors on scales with different props and the findings

What advantages do 3-bladed props offer? I've seen a few people mention that they offer smooth flight.

On another forum, folks shared their experiences with 3 blade setups and found them useful as long as those were perfectly balanced, otherwise they didn't perform well. This was on smaller 450 size quads.

I've been wanting to try the Xoar props. Now I want to try the 2 blade and the 3 blade. This gets expensive.

i picked up a few zinger 9x5's from tower hobbies. waiting to get them so i can see the difference.
