man, i've had my battery fall out over asphault, 30 feet up. bought two new motors and flew bitchen. naza wasn't affected, the rest of the parts were fine. few months later i flew it into low voltage cuttoff over a river, aimed for a dock but just missed and the whole thing went in, hero2, immersion 5.8 vtx, the works, two new speed controllers cause i wasn't patient enough to let it all dry out first was all it needed.

I'd have at least opened up the naza and looked for the problem while nobody was worried about warranties. this is hobby grade stuff

now it flies good as ever.........

The NAZA in my F450 was still tight mounted after hitting that tree stump. By as you can see the after crash fly video I provided shows the F450 with real bad jelly like wobbling when in flight. All 4 motors are running in the post crash flight as well. I figured the NAZA took too much of a hit and the gyro inside is messed up. That's why its wobbling like that.

i think it is just a bearing problem, so that your engines dont spin up correctly during the smal corrections of the naza.

Doesn't matter now, all that DJI magic pixie dust will soon be setting in a landfill somewhere in the desert of Arizona.

What if it was just the tape holding the naza down that came lose and was causing the wobble? Even if it was a bad motor bearing, it's 4 tiny screws and 3 tiny bullet connectors to change out. Did you at least take off the props? Guess some folks just have money, sigh...

These ships are expensive to build. I guess that's why we don't really see them on store shelves. I use Scotch 5lb mounting tape to secure my WKM components in place. I think it even absorbs some vibration. It's pretty tough and still allows you to work the unit free if you need to.

bearings, bent shafts, bent bells....... you just grab a new set of motors and walla. when naza is actualy broken past repair it won't boot, doesn't get off the ground, etc. if the sensor was knocked loose, it's a matter of reattaching it inside. a set of suppos runs $60 for all four

My adventure from last night, showing my investor (the wife) how AWSOME I am on the sticks...
all four props disintegrated, I picked up the pieces and put them in my pocket along with my dignity.

Like all good things in life, minor setbacks happen, sure as hell won't be throwing it in any dumpster.

it's so easy to loose orientation like that with these things, does it have lights? if not, get some led tape and mark a front or rear or both

Wait till you have fun like this, first instance WKM Y6 with Photohigher AV130 underneath before the WKM had the motor arming feature. I had a throttle hold switch setup to keep from accidentally starting the motors after connecting the battery, this is what happens when you hit the switch by mistake while flying...

End result, all 3 arms bent, a couple broken props, broken Droidworx landing gear plates, and a squashed AV130, a rather expensive OOPS...

This one was as far as I could determine an ESC failure, Cinestar 6/WKM, Photohigher AV130 with Sony NEX 5N on it, I got to watch as it tilted towards the stopped motor and fell out of the sky and no amount of opposite stick compensated for the dead motor, talk about feeling helpless while watching dollar signs pass before your eyes...

This time it was a bit more painful financially, while the Cinestar survived unscathed except for a couple broken props the AV 130 was twisted in so many directions there wasn't a straight piece left on it and the NEX 5n was totaled as well, repair/replacement costs exceeded $1000 but I still got off cheap compared to what it could have wound up costing...

oooofff! Now THAT is a setback!

Kloner, I put lights on it the last time you suggested it and it does help. After watching the vid, I wonder if maybe I lost radio or something because I know I was trying every direction possible on my tx and it doesn't appear to move except straight for the fence. Is there maybe a super secret "magnetic" mode cuzz I could fly in the freekin Sahara desert and still manage to hit a chainlink fence.

have you programed failsafe yet? is it spektrum? That thing leaned left and never waivered, failsafe pops up up level.

I've had mine get kinda locked into stuff like this fpv but always just thought the wind was pushing it. not being near it is hard to tell,,,,,,,, wonder if it's a gain thing that makes them lockover like that. In my fpv i hit failsafe all the time, looks different

I think they will be emptying the store dumpsters this morning around 9am. The quad is in the dumpster behind the Fry's supermarket on Oracle in Oro Valley Arizona. I don't know what anyone would want with a wobbly flying Naza F450 but that's where it is anyway. Here is a post crash video I took just after the crash. You will see the wobble I was talking about. With every stick movement the 450 quivers like jello http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwJuSJn4HoM

Wish I had seen this sooner, would have traded a Trex 450 sport for it. http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=406480
