Hi folks,
Searching on web with no luck yet for info if DragonOSD v2 Combo is compatible with Naza or Wookong? DragonOSD v2 spec info link: http://www.nghobbies.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_38_161_162&products_id=687

For that money I think best value OSD with tracking waypoint, autopilot, RTH (return to home). DJI way far more expensive. So my question is:

Are Dragon OSD v2 is compatible with DJI Naza or Wookong system? Have both of them and I would like to take step furder with OSD and FatShark goggles.

DragonOSD and Naza:
1. Can I use autopilot RTH (return to home) on failsafe?
2. Can it be done with Waypoints flying?
3. Use Autopilot Hold position (Dragon have that function)?

and

DragonOSD and DJI Wookong:
1. Can I Use existing compass from Wookong , because compass/GPS have additional slot (see attached image)? Can I use 2 GSP without interference?
2. Can fly waypoint follow.
3. What is happen on signal lost? because both system have RTH, Wookong have with auto landing.

If not which OSD then to use with reasonable price for Waypoint flying, and autopilot RTH.

Any info, help or hints from you guys are welcome.

Thanks,

Vojc

Hi Vojc,

sorry tell you but that wont work. WKM or Naza is a closed system and doesn't offer its sensor data to any external setup.

So there is no way to get the GPS data Lipos Status etc. to any OSD solution. Or it is also not possible to use any data from an OSD telemetr GPS solution to influence
the WKM/NAZA flight behavior.

The only thing an OSD solution on a WKM/Naza Setup does for you is allow you to see the info captured by its sensors on a LCD or Googles etc.

DJI is offering their Senors data only to a notebook at the moment with a DATA link from DJI and DJI software installed on the PC. They are planning though on their own OSD solution based in the radio they are bringing out called Rulling.

Hi Boris,

Thank you for that value info. So then, what kind of OSD you prefer to use with my setup. Have 2 setups Naza-quad and WKM-octo.

What kind info I can see with OSD? Basic info like: Voltage, mAh, direction, altitude, ... sorry for newbee question, but rather ask now, then later regret...

Huhaa, but it is gonna be definitely expensive...

hmmm its really just the question which OSD setup you prefer, there isnt really any relevance to WKM or Naza.

For example i am using ImmersionRC OSD, very simple info on the screen that might not be enough info for some or graphically what one wants.

I would check out all the different OSD options Dragon Eagle Immersion etc. and make a choice what looks best to you. Remember none of these can be connected to any DJI system so it dosent matter just concentrate on what looks best to you.

Actually go to youtube and check the OSD company names to see the actuall screens they offer what ever looks best etc. Than of coarse there is the question which system acquires SATs fastest etc etc, but i cant comment on that.

Japp any OSD only problem I can still see that there might be interference between WKm GPS and OSD components if you get any chance to check on that you are on the safe side. I only have my OSD setup on a NAZA copter at the moment so i couldn't check with WKM yet.

Looks like a lot of cash Golds :)

But there are guys using OSD on WKM/GPS setups, would be great if they can comment. I am not sure if GPS units can interfere each other ?

but actually it could be since they are coming out with an OSD extension or whatever it is for the WKM. All the S800 customers who suffered from the ESC problems are getting the OSD transmitter for free, so it seem there is a port for tele info on WKM probably also on the NAZA
