*providing fail does not entail breaking both legs and almost dying

If you have never been into sports like this, you will probably never understand. I was an adrenaline junkie for a while, always pushing my boundaries knowing very well that I could be seriously hurt or killed. Nearly all of my close friends have been seriously hurt (broken backs, legs, heads, faces, you name it) doing what they love to do and they still do it to this day (some even with their casts still on). I even had a close friend recently die in a kiteboarding accident. You don't have to understand it or agree with it. If you have the drive inside you to do it, you will find you must do it or you will live a very depressed life. What finally grounded me was the birth of my son 6 years ago. I have only jumped off a couple cliffs since he was born and both times I found the feeling and the drive was gone. For now, I will keep my feet on the ground and let my quad do the flying.

I recently ran across this guys videos and was pointed to the one where he and his buddy tried splitting the largest suspended bridge in the world. This guys balls are one ring too big, but he honestly seems ok with that

Eh Up robvree.. I hear that tremble in your voice buddy.. Its how I feel trying to talk about my buddies lost to this world.. BUT I would never go back and change anything and I doubt if them watching from above would either.. The Video Bart has posted is a very near miss.. there is another that the end result was not so happy.. a pioneer of this crazy game gone but not forgotten.. I am out of it now but it was great while it lasted.. I survived 26 years of EXTREME fun.. a lucky one.. sounds like you also have the same emotions when you watch something like this eh?

I was just going to bed to get ready for tomorrows flight testing but now I am WIDE AWAKE... grrrrr BART!

RIP Daniel Ahnen who recorded this jaw-dropping video.
Tragically fell into a deep glacial crevasse whilst filming an expedition on the Indian Himalayas 17/5/11.
Rescue parties abandoned rescue or recovery as 'depth was insurmountable with no end in sight of the crevasse'.
Forever remembered on Youtube...
