wkm set-up help please…

i'm having issues with my wkm build and wonder whether anyone can help?

set-up

wkm/flamewheel
4x turnigy plush 18a reflashed
4x 3506/25 650kv motors
3cell zippy lipo
DX8 radio, AR8000 rx

escs do work, tested with rx and motor.

i've assembled everything, double, double checked connections.

installed software, latest version. upgraded firmware.

i've set the imu orientaion, offset for gps, 'x' config, and radio - moving sticks to extremes (with travel set to 100%).

clicked write, cycled power to wkm.

led flashes red,red,red,blue - i assume it's blue and not purple.

if i flick the flight mode to atti, i get red,red,red,yellow

then red,red,red,blue at gps setting


if i try the motor arm stick positions, then stick up, the motors don't spin up.

any thoughts?

You are in failsafe in Manual and GPS modes. You need to go back to the transmitter screen and adjust your endpoints for the mode switch. The tabs need to go blue at each switch position. I think that you will be fine after that to arm.

btw, when the mode switch is in atti mode it doesn't go blue in the tx monitor, do i need to adress this too?

just need it to stop raining and blowing…

Reset the end points to 100.

First move the 3 way switch to the center position. Then you adjust the center switch position ATTI by SUBTRIM of that channel in your TX. Then you go back to the endpoints and you adjust the other positions.

Now do the Manual and GPS position of the switch by adjusting the corresponding END POINTS.

If you leave the center position alone then you can have the center position as failsafe and the Quad returns to home or what ever you have set up for failsafe...
