off topic, Studio Video Cameras

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
Folks, I have to defer to your wisdom again and ask about a suitable video camera for studio use where it won't record but will simply shoot for a streaming production. Format will likely be 720p 30FPS. was considering a Panasonic DVX200/HVX200 but would love to hear other options. Budget is about $1000 to $1500.

I have a GH4 that I will likely use also but we need a second camera that can be matched up to the GH4 pretty well.

Thanks!

The Sony RX100 mk4 might make a nice b cam. It could also do double duty as an aerial. ;) Not sure about the steaming aspect tho, you'll need to confirm that.

Edit: the HVX200 is going to be $5k gulp

we must be talking about different HVX200's as the ones being considered are in the $700 to $1000 range on Craigslist.

Spoke to a multirotorforums.com member about this and we're going to go the practical route and use a couple of Sony handicams initially. Being that we're streaming at 720p 30fps we're going to try to keep from hitting the proverbial fly with the proverbial sledgehammer. Budget is an issue as well in the early stages so saving money wherever possible is important.

Moving right along and looking forward to being up and running and running and running!

My bad for sure. I'm not familiar with Panasonic so I'd done a quick google search and must have come up with the newer model or something (it hasn't been released yet).

Can't wait to check out the new show!
