First time builder of Quad here..Yup..Noob/GreenHorn.
In need of alittle (sound Advice) b4 I smoke my KK2.1.5 Board. First let me tell ya what I got.
1# Modifide a Turnigy talon V2 frame
2# KK2.1.5 Flight Control
3# 4 Turnigy Plush 30AMP ESC/BEC 5v
4# Power Distribution board with a 2pin jst on it.
5# 4 EMAX MT 2808 motors
6# Turnigy 9x Trans & Receiver.
In need of advice on how to get power to the FC. Can I just run wire + - from the two jst on power distribution board to the (red) 2pin batt plug on FC or is that to much juice ? It seems that it would be sending the full batt power into the FC and may smoke it up. I have plugged in all 4 esc wires in to the FC like this M1 M2 M3 M4.
Someone told me I need to cut all the wires off my ESC's..(hell no).. How would I beable to program esc's after that ? (have turnigy program card) Also not sure where the receiver gets it power aswell..HELP... A step by step
way with maybe a simple diagram on how to do this would really help me. thanks 4 the time...........Z

The second paragraph of the manual states:
The M1 connector must always have a ESC connected, because this ESC will be the only one that supplies the FC with 5V power.

So there ya go.

If your ESC's are OPTO then they will not have any power coming through to power the KK2, so then you would need to hook up a 5V BEC and run that to M1 connection.

And yes you can remove the red wire from the ESC's as the KK2 does not need them from M2-,3-m4.

SO first question is: Are your ESC's OPTO or do they have a BEC built in?

If your ESC's have a bec built in just plug in the ESC's to M1-m2-m3-m4 and your KK2 will get power through M1. And your rec will get 5V power from plugging into the board.

If you have OPTO ESC's then you will have to run a stand alone 5V BEC and run the red wire into the center pin of M1, and the in the black ire to your ESC's black wire. (The red wire on Opto ESC's really isn't needed)

Hope that helps.

Also try reading the manual a few times, the info is all there.
