Our heavy lift flat okto's are just under 7kg (15lb) with two 9Ah 6S batts. Our X8 okto's are a bit less. This is for airframe only- no gimbal or other payload. Would be curious to hear AUW's of other rigs. Just the airframe and batts, no gimbal.

Vulcan Black Widow X8 frame with retracts - just under 5kg without batteries. Looks like it'd be a bit heavier than you with comparable batteries.

Aerial DP
skyjib8 is 13 lbs without batteries

hexacrafter 1100 hex is 9 lbs without batteries.

the hex has 30% more thrust, we fly 2x 10 amp hours on em, think those are 3lbs a piece times 2. they both use aeronavics retracts and quick release

we take delivery of a halo8 1500mm monday

I've had a look at the Halo and it seems to be more form over function. It certainly wasn't light so I would be interested to see how you get on with it.

Thanks for info, guys. Kloner I've considered a hex. Would sure be easier for travel, less stuff and just less BS. Like the idea of six big high efficiency props, etc. But the safety aspect still keeps me coming back to okto. For pure safety I haven't hear a good argument against an okto over any other config. And in this neck of the woods we can't afford to have anything go wrong on set.

Would be interested to hear any more AUW's.
