Sony NEX-5R insane problem...

So, I've got Sony NEX-5R for my hexa and I have pretty bizarre problem.

I get live video from it's HDMI output until I start recording movie.
That moment it cuts video output.
?!

I called Sony customer support and (as usually) they have no idea about that.

Is it really possible that they disabled that function on purpose?! Can't believe that I have to buy another smaller camera for framing...
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Sorry, I just realized this is AV2HDMI, but the one I have looks exactly the same, it's only HDMI2AV.

Situation update:

I've checked HDMI camera/cabe with friends TV (yes, I don't own device with HDMI input ) and it seems converter is the one making problems...
