Zero UAV YS-X4 GPS Problems

Hi guys,

I have been testing the YS-X4 to compare it with NAZA and WKM. So far so good. Data connection works fine, setup went OK, but I have a huge and strange problem with the GPS. In manual and manual + alt hold the craft behaves really stable. I really pressured the craft and it flies great with tremendous stability.

But (!), when entering GPS mode, the craft shakes / wobbles and if I keep my sticks centered for position hold, the craft goes straight to the left and down.

Now I checked all the obvious stuff:


  • Compass is calibrated
  • IMU/FC is placed properly
  • GPS is placed properly (proper direction and placement without signal interference)
  • 9+ Satellites when engaging GPS mode
  • Mode is Auto-hovering (option go to waypoint is disabled!)
  • Initial setup shows 0,0 on the FC placement tab, which shows that the FC is placed superbly

I am going crazy. I can't find what the cause is and without the GPS working properly, all the other functionalities like waypoint flying are useless. Other people with the same problem or ideas how to solve this?
