Sorry to bring out this old chestnut again.
As eCalc becomes more sophisticated it now gives a 'coax' option, although I don't know how accurate the projections are with such a theoretic calculator. But it does calculate a considerable drop in overall lifting power for the coaxial 8 against the flat 8.
What it does not give yet is the option to select different props for the upper and lower sets with a coax. So, what is the current thinking with X8 props? When we were all guessing a favourite solution was to put a higher pitched prop on the lower motors because they have to deal with rapidly moving air, e.g 15x5 on top and 15x6 on the bottom. But what about different sized props? Does anyone do that, i.e. with 15" on top and 16" on the bottom, for example?
