x6 or x6 configuration, Any benefits or drawbacks to either

Just looking a some setup mictures and noticed a couple hex builds are set up to fly +6 and some are x6 any benefit to one or the other? build will be flamwheel 550 w/ wookong m

found some info, at least relating to a quad.... + config is similar to a plane in its handling characteristics, x mode will offer better stabalization in any direction of flight and will allow for possibly higher speeds due to usually having 2 or more motors on the driving plane when moving forward or back... ill set the 550 up as x
