Is anyone here that has a circa 2013 Wokong M (the one in the plastic case) having issues with the GPS or compass failing? My GPS is taking over 15 minutes to find any satellites. A friend with the same setup had to replace his GPS/compass due to a compass calibration issue and we know a third person who has had to replace his GPS as well because it stopped working around the 2 year old point.
I just plugged my friend's replacement GPS puck in to my Wookong that has been taking 15 mins to obtain a satellite and it found 8 satellites almost instantly. His replacement GPS/compass cost around $340. That's more than an entire Pixhawk kit with GPS so I may have to think about saying good bye to the Wookong on my SkyJib.
A friend was speculating that maybe the backup battery on the GPS has gone bad which makes sense to me. I'll have a look in to replacing it as a test. In the meantime I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has had the problems we are having here in Australia.
