Wooden prop test for split in wood

Is there any test I can do to check if a wooden prop has any small crack or splits that are not visible? Thanks.

Stacky,

either tap the end of the blade on a hard surface or tap the prop with a piece of dowel. you'll hear the cracked blade sounds differently from the others.
