WKM White Lights even before starting the engines

Hi All.

I have been working on a CX-4 build again and again!! I am using WKM, DJI OPTO 30A ESC's and Torxpower motors along with 10 x5 Groupner electro props. My issue is that I am getting a lot of white light before I even start the engines. Sometimes two or three. This is in either mode ATTI or GPS. The tests are being carried out in a wind free barn.

If I do try and fly, the results are totally unpredictable as you would probably expect.

My WKM has been tried and tested in my F450 flame wheel and is rock solid.

I have even gone to the lengths of putting all the equipment including the torxpower motors back into the F450 and all is fine !! its very frustrating.

Put it back into the CX-4 and it just completely random...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
is your IMU hard mounted. My setup worked better after installing the IMU with thin double sided adhesive tape, not the soft one.
Mine also white flashes at startup if I don't pay attention not to disturb it as soon as I power up...
Just my 2 cents...:tennis:

Hi Quaddemon. Thanks for your reply its a good two cents.

The IMU is on thin double sided tape. Plus two tie wraps holding it down to the FC plate. The airframe and IMU are definitely at one :) I know what your say about moving it, I defiantly let it boot up first.

Thanks

Andrew

Okay so I have built and rebuilt the CX several times. And I have been making the same mistake every time. In the Flame Wheel the LED is mounted out on an arm putting it about 15 to 20 CM from the GPS
With the CX and only using the short pole I have been mounting the LED on the rear of the body placing it at about 6 CM from the GPS. Moving the LED to the landing gear puts it again at around 20CM from the GPS and by magic (and reading the manual again) all white lights have now gone... :) RTFM again and again...
