Mikrokopter What is the extra capacitor space for?

Answer: a capacitor !

I do not find any mention anywhere of whether the four capacitor spaces labelled C1-4 on the MK Octo power distribution board should be populated. Does anyone know if they should be, and if so what value caps?

And whilst I am at it, what is the purpose of the four small vertical plates to be soldered around the PDB?

I guess they put four in there just incase you are shoving great big motors on.. I have only ever seen on pic with all 4 populated. I use the two that come with the BL and install them as the pics on the MK site. Just make sure if you are fitting coolers that you offset them when you glue them down so you can get the coolers on the fets ok

My understanding is that the plates are heat sinks for the board. I read that somewhere on the MK site but can't find the link now...

Not sure about the additional cap spaces but I'm interested in this as well.
