What is a good camera to take stills with Gaui 500x

Hi

I currently use a gopro2 with my Gaui 500x for taking stills, however the quality of image is not good especially in low light. I love using the continuous shooting (every 0.5second) until memory card is full, this way you are gauranteed capturing a usable image especially when the copter is moving, usable as in small print. Is there another camera out there that does this feature but has a much better image even when the copter is moving?

I find I can get nearly as good an image with the GP2 by shooting video in 1080p with narrow FOV and pulling out snapshots as JPEG's. this way you dont get the annoying wide angle fisheye. (This was my main disappointment in the GP2, that and no narrow or med FOV option in 960/50p). Produces an acceptable image for web use etc.
there is the CHDK hack for most models of Canon cameras with intervalometer and remote control scripts available, I would recommend the S95, basically a G12 without the lens options. very good in low light. and a good range of manual control, and very light, your 500X wont practically haul anything too much heavier.
Gentles also have an intervalometer working on IR I think, which supports most cameras that have IR control.
