Technical specification for UK Operations Manual

I'm currently finishing off my Operations Manual and have a general question regarding the Technical Specification section that I hope someone can answer.

Included in the Technical Specification templates issued by my QE are sections for everything ranging from the craft, camera, batteries and even chargers. Once my Ops Manual is approved, can some amendments be made to the Tech Spec by myself without the need to re-submit. Obviously, with a change in the FC I can understand the need to re-submit and even to retake the Flight Test. But what about other things such as propellers and motors. I'm currently running 330kv motors and 16 inch props but am considering changing to 400kv and 15 inch props. If I did this, could I make the appropriate amendments in my Operations Manual and just get on with things or would I have to re-submit and be re-tested? Taking it to the other extreme, there is a section for the technical specification of the batteries and chargers. Surely if I changed say the capacity of the lipos I used or the type of charger, a simple amendment to my Operations Manual would suffice without the need to re-submit or do any other kind of "hoop jumping".

Any input would be helpful, I'm itching to get this finished and get my PFAW.....been dragging on for too long now!

I have recently done an upgrade to the motors and props on mine. Providing the change does not affect the MTOM nor change any of the procedures you have you will be fine by simply informing your QE and the CAA that the change has been made- no need to re-do a flight test- at least this is how EuroUSC dealt with my motor and prop changes.

I've got a couple of other questions about the technical spec section and thought I'd stick them on the end of this thread to keep everything in one place. All specs are relevent to my Skyjib setup using a wkm.

What do folk generally put down for the following:

Maximum Operating Speed - I've never flown at full wack, well I have done briefly but never recorded the speed. Would 30mph be too higher a value to put down? The WKM manual states that the Maximum Wind Resistance is 17.9 mph. I'm not sure how accurate that is because I'm sure folk fly faster than than with the WKM with no problems. I've also flown in winds stronger than 17.9 mph with no significant problems. OK, the video may be a bit jumpy but the craft stills performs allbeit with a bit of buffeting.

Maximum Operating Altitude - I Know we can only fly below 400 ft above ground level, but what is the max altitude AMSL I could safely fly at. I remember Droider was operating in the Peruvian Andes, so I guess the figure must be in the 1000's of m AMSL.

Have other UK qualified pilots included these parameters in their technical specifications and if so, would you mind sharing and giving me some insight.

Thanks

Easy? You call that easy?
I put my speed down as 40mph. I've gone that fast before with the iOSD showing 40mph. That was flat out in GPS mode. Could probably go faster in manual mode, but that's not for me.

For the altitude, I just found the highest point in Europe and added 400ft. You're good to go anywhere then. Operating abroad is different as many don't have any regulations. It's up to you. Put 15,000ft if you like. When are you likely to operate that high anyway? Once in a blue moon.

I had to out my speed in knots! (26 = 30mph)

I put the ceiling as '400ft above ground level at take off point'

Hope that helps
