for a while I have been waiting to use my A6000 as FPV but I also wanted the functions of gentwire-multi. problem was that the Sony hdmi to av converter board plugs directly into the camera which left no room for the Multi cable. here was my fix if you guys are wanting this type of setup. the answer was a simple mic hdmi male to female extention cable which was HARD TO FIND!!
here is the link for the cable. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007Z7LC7Q/ref=ya_aw_oh_pii
1.plug in the hdmi to av servo cable into the rx.
2.plug in the hdmi male end into the female end of the extension cable.
3.plug the extension cable into camera.
4.insure that camera is set up with hdmi to auto.
5.wire up the red, yellow and black wires CORRETLY! (reasons below)
using that cable I was able to plug both the Multi and hdmi cable in. set the A6000 hdmi to auto. MAKE SURE you get the wires correct when wiring the cable running to the fpv tx. I learned the hard way and smoked the wires and had to buy a new board and wires. along with a LOT of aloe from the burns on my hands jerking cables apart!! now the extension cable is quite stiff so I mounted it the best way possible for my to get 90 deg down.
my board flashes red as if it doesn't have any power supplied from the rx but it's working. I did not set it up to take the pics/video through the hdmi to av board, that's why have the Multi cable. I wanted the added feature of zoom and the ability of turning the camera on and off remotely. the Sony camera tends to use the battery quickly so that feature is very handy.
