Hoverfly Roadtrip to Hoverfly

We're taking a roadtrip to Hoverfly next week.

We're excited for a day of R&D, meeting the team, and trying out their latest flying magic.

Like our Facebook page to stay in the loop about what we discover while we're down there.

Too bad, I was hoping for the .01% chance they were going for an all out cross-country to visit the California office, in which case I would've lived to meet up with the team and possibly offer some supplies to aid in testing/tuning! ;(. Have a fun, productive trip nonetheless!

Had a great day of R&D with Hoverfly. The weather was nasty out due to the tropical storm that we nicknamed "Debbie Downer." But, we ended up flying indoors in some empty office space. The team of folks at Hoverfly impressed us throughout the day with their creative problem solving, commitment to excellence, and how brilliant they really are. I'm so happy we went with Hoverfly.

Well, at this moment in time it seems like Picloc, Skyline and hoverfly customers are still crying in their beer. So who is going to get it right first. Dji are home and dry on this one and maybe Tabb has something up his sleeve.

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
for two axis stabilization I'm finding the HF Pro board to be very competent using the resident stabilization. hope to have some video later today after a bit more tweaking.

The Hoverfly gimbal board is pretty darn good as is. We went down there to work on making it perfect - it will get there very soon. Definitely not crying here, smiling in fact.

When I watched the demo video it was so far behind the movement it would have needed a perfectly stable machine to get anywhere near good results without post stab. Maybe they just threw that in to make everyone buy something else.

So far the gimbal has been great stabilization is spot on, lasting issue is managing a level horizon on roll and tilt... at least for me. I am happy with it though, as my first hoverfly product i'd use em again. ill try a couple different locations for mounting and hopefully by then there may be some more firmware stuff.

They are working hard on getting the gimbal board just right. There are folks giving them feedback, us included, that will allow them to make any necessary changes to the firmware.
