Questions for my DJI S900 building

Hello everybody!

I am the happy owner of a DJI S900 which i would like to use in a professional way for photoshooting. Here its configuration:

-DJI S900
-ZenMuse GH4
-A2
-IOSD MK2

My transmitter is a Futaba T14SG and i wanted to equip the aircraft with a 6S Lipo 12 000Mah battery.

Do you think that the battery will deliver enough power to fly during 15 minutes? or should I look for a more powerful one?

The second point is security. I often heard about bugs with the DJI A2 and i'd like to know if some bugs happened to some of you. So, i thought that I could equip the multi rotor with a rescue parachute system as existing from DJI with the dropsafe system http://www.dji.com/product/dropsafe or with a rescue kit for DJI S900 from Opale Paramodels
. If there are some users of these type of products, i'd be interested to have their returns, to help me to make a choice, or simply say if it worth it or not and why.

Thanks for your help!

That's a sweet setup. I'm sure you will have a great time shooting with it. I fly a similar setup with 8A 6S for around 12 mins so I think you'll do fine with 12A. But best way is to fly it and find out. I'm a big fan of parachute systems but they are quite new and I don't know anyone who uses them. When it's discussed most people don't express much enthusiasm for them. There are lots of DJI users here so I'm sure others will be able to give you more accurate feedback.

Yes I am going to test when it is possible=

Concerning the parachute systems, I phoned to DJI retailers and at Opale Paramodels to have some informations about it. And most of them advise the Opale system instead of DJI one, Opale is more experienced in it, the DJI drop safe released only a few weeks. Plus, I was told it was pretty popular in France to the multi flyers because of the rules they have to face, and there are no bad returns. I have ordered one, when the shipping and the mounting is done, I'll try to post some pictures.

Why not have a second battery on board in the event a cell within the 12000Mah 6S fails? Two 6000Mah in parallel then your safe guarded.

I reconsidered the question, and I think about a 6s 21000 mAh. ;)

Concerning parachute sytem, I kept looking for some more information, and contacted Opale Paramodels in order to know more about this, and I also phoned to DJi retailers. I finally ordered the Opale system, the guy I had online were helpful to explain how it works and redirected me to their tests on youtube. So i'm waiting my delivery and i'll try to share when the mounting is done.

Finally, i received the rescue kit for DJI S900 from Opale Paramodels, and mounted it. I want to share it to see what it's like, easy installation and good quality parachute (check out on Opale Paramodels Youtube channel, they released a video test of the parachutes to check the mechanical strength).

It is on the underside because its the most adapted location to face every flight situations or problems that you could encounter. It so guarantees a better efficiency than a system located on the top side, because the bridle or the parachute could be cut, and in that case, you can do nothing with your system.
