The Q500 Typhoon is a complete aerial photography and videography (APV) system. The Q500 System includes the aircraft, a 1080P HD camera, a CGO2-GB 3 axis precision gimbal, the ST10 personal ground station, 2 batteries, a charger and an 8GB micro SD card. In addition, there are a number of accessories including a sun shade, car charger, USB adapter/charger and an extra set of 4 rotors.

The ST10 personal ground station is a 10-channel 2.4GHz RC transmitter that supports a 5.8GHz video downlink that delivers streaming video to the built-in screen of the transmitter.

While the Q500 offers a superior flying experience, it is the quality of the video and still images that sets it apart. The CGO2 GB combines the 12 megapixel, 1080p/60FPS camera and the 3-axis brushless gimbal into a single unit that captures smooth, steady aerial video and still images in vivid detail.

Have Fun!!

Thanks for the reply. I have watched all the vids and read all I could find about it. Our local hobby shop got some in, they really look good. Did you see the one at E-fest Bart? Pbilt024(my son) said he saw one, thought looked good.

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
I saw one there and at CES a few weeks ago in Vegas. We were actually supposed to get one for a formal product review but they backed out on us at the last minute. Can't really vouch for it one way or the other as a result. There are a bunch of RTF quads with camera mounts and more coming out every month it seems.
If you're not in a big hurry you might want to wait and see what the market looks like in another month or so.

Regards,
Bart

The guy at the hobby shop took one out Sunday and tried it for a little while and filmed with it. Around his house vid was clear and sharp, he said air was quite rough. vid had no jello at all. Looked good for a fairly cheap unit.

I'm not saying it's impossible just that I have no knowledge on it so I can't vouch for it one way or the other. If it looked great I'd say give it a try but just make sure you come by and let us know how it's working out for you! :)

does it have wireless video so you can see the camera image while flying it? or a monitor to display it for you while you're flying?

edit: just answered my own question, it uses 5.8 ghz frequency for the video downlink so it does have that and it displays it on the monitor in the RC controller

also will work on I phone at the same time he said it lost signal to iphone at 387 ft straight up but picked it back it started moving horizontal to about 500 ft out. That was all he tested
