Put Lights On It

I've been flying for almost a month now and feel like I'm starting to get the hang of it. Just put lights on a couple of days ago, red on two front arms and blue on two back. And all I can say is Wow.

If I could go back and give myself one piece of advice before my first flight, it would likely be: "Put lights on it right now! "

The difference it makes in a helping a new pilot keep track of orientation is amazing.

Morning mike,
I could not agree more but could I ask what lights you are using.....
I have red on the fron and white on the back and strangely they were from decathlon.
Very small bike lights and very bright, no bigger than a 50 pence piece and very light.
I would however like to put lights at the end of the rotor arms?
Many thanks

I used these:

They are very easy to install. You can cut them to length and there are solder points where you cut them. I used some 22 gauge wire I salvaged off a BEC I trashed by landing in a gutter and just wired them to the nearest power takeoff point. I use 3S batteries on this bird and that is the right voltage for these LEDs. Just about any piece of small scrap will do, they draw so little power. The adhesive on the back makes it even easier. I think they will work wired directly into a 4S battery too but the extra voltage makes them burn a little hotter.
