Prop tip clearance

Im building a hex multirotor. Where I sit right now I only have 1 inch clearance between prop tips. Is this okay or do I need to extend my arms? (not hard to do on the aeroquad Im building)

Thanks

Mr take no prisoners!
If you add spacers you can overlap them.... one of my sons does this on a small octo.

Heck you can overlap them if you go to an upsy-downsy set-up. Photo is from user "Rusty" on another forum.View attachment 13953

See attached for an Octocopter I designed......... I had someone in our AutoCAD drafting dept..... throw this together so that I would not have to do the calculations manually.... If the tips do not touch even when there is vibration etc. you are clear for takeoff!!! View attachment 13955

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
i generally try to keep tips 1/2" from each other. seems to work fine and that's how my first MK kit was set up (Nov 2010!) although that was probably 13mm :)
