POSTING VIDEO: GoProfessional Case for DJI Inspire One at AMA Expo 2015

Unless you've been living under a crashed Gaui 330x for the past few years, you know that the DJI Inspire One is the hot drone right now, with its integrated, interchangeable, three-axis gimbal-mounted 4K camera, transformer-like limb-lift maneuver, precision position hold and, oh, I don't know, let's say its amazing ability to spin straw into gold.

Check with DJI on that last one: we make no warranty, expressed or implied; your results may vary; offer void in California and Vermont; etc.

All joking aside, the Inspire One is a pretty cool aircraft (as you saw for yourself if you watched all the way to the end of the video), but of course before it can fly you need to get it safely on location. That's where our friends Rick and Beth from GoProfessional Cases come in, having developed this custom case for the Inspire One.

How tight are the with DJI? Check this out: they have been working so closely with DJI to develop this case that, on their advice, DJI actually changed the firmware in the Inspire One to create a “transport” position for its limbs. After having studied the aircraft, Rick realized that putting the limbs in a flat position would allow him to make a case that would be less expensive and easier to transport. Current and future Inspire One users, you're welcome!

Anyway, this isn't the last you'll be seeing of Rick from this trip. After AMA Expo, we headed down to San Diego and got a tour of his facilities. It was like an episode of “How It's Made” for multirotor cases – so stay tuned for that!
