Pixhawk Programming

Trying to setup my pixhawk and I clicked on (Load settings) and the remote side was blank. So I clicked on (Copy to remote) and it only copies a few of the settings but not all. Any suggestions?

Are you connecting over a telemtry link?

What about when you try connecting through the appropriate com port and baud rate?

Gonna need more details then this :)

The first time everything went great but I broke the antenna off the 3DR Radios and then fixed the antenna. But after that it would load the settings and it would not load all the remote settings. I was using com post#6 and baud 57600. After the second try bot antennas broke and then I did the rest of the programming without them. Now every thing is done but the motors will not spin up so back to square one on those.

Are you saying that when you arm the copter that the motors do not spin up when you raise the throttle? Or are you saying that when you arm the copter the motors don't spin up? If it's the latter then there is a parameter for setting that. If it's too low for your type of motor the motors won't spin at idle when armed, although they certainly will spin up if you raise the throttle. See this page (item 8) for more info.

Also, make sure the copter is actually arming. One of the reasons it's good to have the ground control station running all the time is that it will prompt you of any errors. PreArm errors like compass issues or things that aren't configured will stop the copter from arming and the software will let you know what the issue is that needs attention. And don't forget that if you are using the hardware safety switch (which is the default) that you have to press the safety switch to arm the copter as well as move the sticks to the arming position.

Ok first of I broke both of the 3dr radios (No-fixable) and I have 2 coming in the mail now. One warning was the fail safe thr-value I fixed that. No it say the compass needs calibrated (First one did not take) so I have to wait on the new radios. Right now my hands are too bad to do any more work on the hexa.

You can do all the Pixhawk setups using a USB cable to connect, instead of the 3DR Telemetry radios. The bit-rate is faster (115,000) and the USB powers the board for most things. (Not motor tests)
Compass Calibration is something of a pain with the USB attached because you have to keep turning/twisting backwards to avoid tying the cable around your MR, but the compass points write almost immediately so you get a bunch more points than via Telemetry Radio. (I've had 3000 plus points using USB.)
As I'm sure you know, updating firmware can ONLY be done via USB.

Well after we did the compass calibration the pixhawk showed that it was a good calibration. But later into the program it gave a warning that the rc needed calibrating. After looking into the matter it told me that the radio and compass needed calibration. Good calibration now bad later lololo. Oh well I'm not in a hurry.

I looked for the auto accept the other day when I was in MP but I did not see it. I think I my have over looked it.

A little late but if working with the USB cable when doing a compass cal the cable can easily disconnect, terminating the calibration. An idea is to use something to secure the cable to the copter that prevents it from disconnecting while rolling the copter around.

'Auto Accept' can be found underneath the 'Live Calibration' compass screen. It's next to 'Rotate with each data point'.
But it is NOT in every version of Mission Planner. 1.3.25 has 'Auto Accept'. 1.3.9 does not.

Thanks for the info I got my 3dr radios a few days back but my hands are still bummed up so I'm kinda waiting on them right now. Hopefully soon I can get back to my MR'S. I'm about to go crazy because I have a new 250 quad that needs building.
