Phantoms are tough!

Yes, the Phantom is a great platform for noobs, but I also contend that its plastic monocoque is also REALLY tough. I've watched my brother crash his into really tall trees and then fall through the limbs to the ground, fly it into the concrete driveway at full down throttle bending the gimbal, and most recently, fly it at full speed into the ruff of the dock at our beach house (we used a radar to clock it earlier in the day to clock it at 40 mph/50 kph), tearing off the gimbal and launching the battery into the marsh. In all cases, he's been able to make some minimal repairs and get it in the air again. Pretty amazing design.

However, it can't swim. More details to follow :(
