Our first aerial art show

This thursday the wife and I will be featuring a bunch of prints from the copter in our first art show. So far it has been gaining a little bit of excitement from people. The fact that it's "drone art" is catching some traction.

My wife has been an artist for years, but hasn't been in a show for a while now since she started teaching. She is always getting the children involved now instead of herself, so I wanted to get her back out there in front of people again. She just eats it up. ;-)

Thanks, Chris. That has been my evil plan for the last few months. Now that she is involved, we get to spend more time together doing something fun and I don't have to hear about "the other woman" all the time. ;-)

That photo is quickly proving to be one of the more popular ones. They were just about ready to close for the night, so there was NO ONE there... makes it kinda creepy.

...how well do we all know that one.... :nevreness: Since your lady is quite artistic, does she have any plans playing around with tilt-shift technology...Prices for tilt-shift lenses are pretty steep, but you can also play around on normal photos with special software and plug-ins:

Nice art Terry!! My wife and I are doing the same thing but just for our own consumption. I'll have to get some of our stuff from her computer and post it. We have not done a lot but are planning to do quite a bit more as the FC I am using has just had a firmware upgrade and is now a fantastic platform.

The "not having to listen about the other woman" made me think of a joke my father used to tell. His version was picking up a golf club at the pro shop but it lends well for our hobby too!!

So this guy told his wife that he was just going out to the local RC flying field to pick up a servo that one of his buddies said he could borrow for a while. As his wife had some other plans for the afternoon together he said he would be just a short time out there. Well, after a few hours go by and the afternoon was shot he finally comes home with a pizza in hand. She says "where in the devil have you been all afternoon, I thought that we were going to be together for once"!!! He says "well, you wouldn't believe what happened to me. I was on my way home after getting my servo from Bob and lo and behold there was this woman at the side of the road with a flat tire. I of course stopped and changed the tire and she wanted to pay me for it. I of course said no and then she said that she at least wanted to buy me a beer at the tavern just down the road. Well, one beer led to another and then another to another and before I knew it we were in the little motel next door making wild and passionate love. It took all afternoon!!"

She looked at him with squinty eyes and pierced lips and snarled "don't lie to me.......you went flying didn't you!!!!"

Hey Chris,

We haven't messed about with tilt shift exactly, but I have been playing with some forced perspective. These digital cameras like to push everything into focus, and we recently started shooting things that have an obvious foreground and background. I've been cutting them into different layers in Photoshop and putting a lens blur on the background stuff. It gives you a little more room to play with the levels and saturation some as well. This is an example below.
