I'm totally on the fence with this one guys. I really want to take a mini quad (likely a QAV250 or a Blackout 220mm) with me on vacation not so much for gut wrenching FPV but more to be able to take aerial footage. We are going to a sleepy fishing town in Mexico.
I've even been eyeing portable chargers like the Accucel 6. I'm pretty sure I can comfortable fit a partially disassembled mini into my check-in along with a Turnigy er9x (leaving the Futaba at home).
It's the darn lipos that freak me out. I've read tons of posts saying it's not really a problem so long as you are upfront with them. I'd bring 2x 1300mah 35c lipos (Lumenier's which are shorter and stubbier). I'd intend to bring them as carry-on as I'm far too worried to check that in.
Am I making too big a deal of this? Do you guys take a quad with you on vacation at all?
