Newbie from Southern California

Hey guys, Im also in Corona, Ca (border of Norco and Corona).

I just got the Multi bug, I am trying to decide between a quad or a hex. I am not too sure on the size and I have nearly zero multi experience. I got a little Estes Proto-X for christmas as a gag gift, little did they know or maybe that was the gag?

If anyone would be willing to show a new kid on the block the ropes that would be super awesome. Also if you have the ability for a buddy box for "demo" flights that would be even cooler.

Thanks for reading my post. Hope to learn a lot from you guys.

Welcome to MRF LCC!

Do some cruising around the forum to see if you can find some build the ads that might help you hone in on a decision between quad/hex.

I usually advise a quad to start (it's great you're already learning the ropes on a small practice quad). Makes for a cheaper, easier to manage craft right out of the gate. Also, by the time you look to move to a larger MR; your skills, needs and payload may change the direction for your hex/ octo, but you'll probably always be able to enjoy a nice quad - regardless of what you choose for the future.

Good luck and fly safe!
