Hey guys, new to the forums, new to quadcoptering (did i just make up a new word?). Always wanted to fly something, never had the time, money, or technical know how, but now I have the money, still not so sure about the time, but most importantly i feel i have the know how. I am going to be posting in the general discussion as well, but i figured i'll put one of my main questions up here as well, cover my bases.

I have almost all my components, minus the frame, waiting for it to arrive. I am planning on using my quadcopter as for live video, not so much fpv, me and my buddies go shooting quite frequently and would like to get some close up footage of us blowing demolishing stuff with our rifles. I was wondering if anyone had any idea of a fairly budget-oriented way to do live video via a gopro hd hero 2. Any help would be appreciated. Looking forward to talking to you all.

Deuces,

Kavon

Hi Kavon,

I am in Orange County CA :)

Here is what i would get for your video downlink. Tim at readymaderc.com has some good products for downlinks and such.

Here is what I would buy for a video downlink

Transmitter (you could get the lower watt one also)
http://www.readymaderc.com/store/ind...roducts_id=918
Reciever (get the one with upgraded saw filter)
http://www.readymaderc.com/store/ind...roducts_id=516
If not using your own LCD monitor, then these would work.
FatShark Goggles (5,8 is not needed, but may come in handy at a later date. These are in stock too which is hard to find)
http://www.readymaderc.com/store/ind...roducts_id=270
Filter for TX
http://www.readymaderc.com/store/ind...roducts_id=484
Once they are in stock, get a nice Skew Planer (fro Video Reciever) and Cloverleaf antenna for the Video Transmitter.

lastly, You will need the cables for your GoPro to the video TX
