New s800 pilot - wookong failsafe question

Hi everybody.
I have my wookong fail safe successfully setup for Manual/Atti/& GPS modes.
The only issue I'm having is setting up the Throttle one that activates when you enter into fail safe.

In my 8FG under fail safe, my Throttle setting is set to F/S ON -50%... exactly like my Naza setup on F550.
Problem is... with the wookong nothing is happening to my throttle position in the assistant software when i activate fail safe.
What am I missing?

Thanks

Tim, if I read into what you are saying, I think you are mixing two different Fail Safe methods.

When you said "fail safe successfully setup for Manual/Atti/& GPS modes", it sounds like you are talking activation of Fail Safe via switches/controls on your transmitter. Or did I misunderstand? In this case, you are simply activating putting the WKM into a different mode, though the transmitter is still in contact with the receiver. This method will not change the throttle setting on the transmitter and, since you are still "talking" to the WKM, you would need to ensure the throttle does not go to zero.

The only time the Throttle setting in your 8FG will kickin and push the control to 50% (or whatever you have the 8FG configured for) is when the transmitter and receiver loose communication. The way you would test that is by turning off your transmitter. When you do so, you should see the throttle input in your Assistant Software jump to 50%.

Did that help? Or did I totally misunderstand the issue?

Thanks Tim2... I knew i was missing the obvious and simple. That's exactly the issue. and YES it works just fine with the switch turned off.

This is the problem with still working on this stuff at 2AM.
I withdraw the noob question.

While there has always been much in common between the WKM and the NAZA controller.... there are just enough differences to trick the mind during Assistant configuration and bench testing..... and now even more so with the migration of several WKM features down into the NAZA..... While I was totally happy with the NAZA... eventually I sold it to reduce human errors during configuration and bench testing. And there there are the challenges with the feature rich Futaba T8FG Super to deal with on top of all of that...... search over Jon DesJardins setup videos for the NAZA using the T8FG and most issues/challenges will disappear.
