Most Stable???

I'm new and confused.:livid:
Trying to decide what configuration is best for AV. I've read that wind will effect a Y6 is less than a 6X, but then I've also read that the top props of a Y6 cause vibration with the bottom props.
Any advise / opinions over which config. is best for AV would be greatly appreciated!

Without getting technical, here is my opinion !!

If you were trying to walk in deap snow, a snowshoe keeps you more stable without falling through.
Walking on thin ice, get down and spread out ... distributing your weight, will keep you from falling through.

The same idea is the same for multi-rotors and stability in the sky ... so to speak. Hex is better than a Quad, an Octo better then the Hex.
Each configuraiton has its perks, but stability ... its the Hex or Octo IMO.
There are a few other things you might want to consider though, motors failing, weight your lifting, cost, flight times, etc...
All of those factors will put you into other configuraitons X8, etc...

What type of AV are you planning on doing?

My recommendation, without knowing a lot of what you want ... get a decent quad, gopro3 with wifi to an iPad or iPhone.
Start small and work you way up. Research every part you need and get recommendations.
Everything you buy, can always be used on another build, just keep in mind what your buying before you purchase anything.

There's no best of both world.

I just moved up from a quad to Hexa to lift heavier camera. Then i decided to convert it to Y6 for the main reason of redundancy, I really don't wanna kill anyone when i'm just shooting aerial project for living.

Yes on the net everyone says Y6 deals better with wind than Hexa, I've not seen the difference yet.
Also coaxial has less efficiency, and i can see my Y6 immediately lost 2mins of flight time compared to when it was a Hexa, everyone says its sooo powerful!

But a Y6 definately has very good and smooth authority than a Hexa, at least on my case.

Yah as Razzil says, you may need to start with a decent quad then as you proceed you will find out more. It may cheaper for the whole run if there's "opppssy" moment starting with a big and expensive ones.

Cheers

Thank you both for your advice.

Because I am just starting, I've been flying a minature quad and have been thinking the next would be an F550/Naza GPS for a gopro. And started reading that Y6's are better with wind, but then saw posts regarding vibration caused with the stacked props, so I'm not sure.

I really like the RC-Carbon Y6 frame for its foldability, thinking it will be a good back-up, to my eventual dream-rig.

Does anybody know if the vibaration on Y6's can be effected by different size props for the upper and lower motors?
