Mississippi newbie

Hey guys!

Another new guy checking in. My little bit of RC airtime consists of a losing battle with a Hei Max Axe CP that I never could do anything with so I sold it, and lots of time on the RealFlight simulator that gives you a new plane at the touch of the red button - ha!

I have picked up a Traxxas QR 1, an amazingly durable little "toy" and a what a blast for an old guy!! I told the wife I wanted an Alias for my upcoming birthday but after scouring the web and soaking up information like a sponge it looks like I'm headed down the build my own road.

I'm more of a lurker/searcher so I don't plan to ask stupid questions, hope y'all will put up with me!

Welcome Thomas. There are no stupid questions. Maybe some questionable answers. Good luck. I never could do anything with my CP, but totally destroy it beyond repair. The only good that came out of my CP experience is that it got me into quads. This is a relatively safe place for "old" guys.
