'Loss Of TX signal Failsafe' DJI Naza F450 ?

Hi,

I currently have an F450 with Naza and GPS, I am using a Spektrum DX6i TX and a Spektrum AR6115 receiver.

I have the switches on the TX setup up so I can use Manual mode, Attitude Hold Mode, GPS Hold Mode. I also have switches setup for 'Return to home' and 'IOC'. These all work well.

I'm getting half decent at flying the thing now and I'm flying it further and further away from me, only a cpl of hundred feet though. My next step is to add FPV gear to it, which will probably mean I'll be flying even further away from me. I am wondering what the approximate range of the DX6i / AR6115 combo is? and also, which receiver would I need to set it up so it will 'Return to home' if and when it loses the TX signal. I'm fairly sure I can't do this with my current RX.

Any tips or reccomendations would be appreciated.

Easy? You call that easy?
Hi mate. I only fly FPV to about 500m/700m and have almost perfect reception on my spektrum rx. Just a few antenna fades but no loss of signal.

To set failsafe with your rx: put your rx in bind mode using bind plug, connect lipo and rx flashes. Remove bind plug. On your tx set your failsafe position, for me that is throttle stick at 50% (anything over 10% is fine), three position switch set to failsafe (I set the manual rate to failsafe which is 80% in my case) check in assistant beforehand. Turn off tx. Turn on with bind button pressed for five seconds. Lights go solid. Turn everything off again. Now when connected to assistant when you turn off your tx the blue bar should move to failsafe.

You do have failsafe on your rx. Failsafe is the default output signal of the rx when no tx signal is received.

Did that make any sense?

Brilliant, yep that makes perfect sense. I'll give that a go when I get home from work tonight.

Cheers for that
