Hi Guys
I have done some work since I posted this video and was able to get the KK board working really well.
What is surprising to me is the endurance. With a standard DJI 220mah 11.1 battery I am seeing around 20 mins flight time. The model has changed slightly with a smaller vane. but basically it is the same as seen in the video. The vane system is definitely a step fwd. from the tilting motor.

Cool! Nice work! I've built tricopters with a tilting motor and always wondered how well a vane system would work. Pretty Smooth! I'm impressed.

The thing to remember is that the vane is basically not a rudder but a means to create a yaw torque rotation around the rear motor so the blade area must only be aft of the motors axis or it will just self cancel the input. i.e. one half of the blade will act in opposition to the other (inboard) half in terms of yaw force.
