Just got my Phantom 2 v2.0 with H3-3D

Hey everyone!

Just received my Phantom 2 with the H3-3D gimbal. I was a bit fast on the gimbal part, and realized that this gimbal doesn't support GoPro 2. So i have been searching the web and can find any smart solution to fit the GoPro 2 on the H3-3D. What do you guys think? Shall i buy a new GoPro, and witch one is best buy right now. I know GoPro 4 black edition is the best, but is it worth the extra cash from GoPro 3+?

For now i think i will remove the gimbal and get to know the Quad real good.

Happy Holidays!

It will not fit anything but a go pro 3 or 4. And the 4 Black shoots in 4K and yes its worth it.

Ok. Then i will start flying without the gimbal, and wait and see if the gopro 4 black goes on any after holiday sale!

Edit: or is it better to fly with the gimbal to get used to it? Difference in handling etc. ?

Hero 2 is very different!

Size and weight are completely different. Zenmuse gimbals are set up to a very specific weight and size. They only work with 3&4

OK guys.... Had a bit weird experience when i was flying. First the LEDs were blinking: 1 slow - 2 blinks fast - 2 blinks fast - 1 slow and so on.

Thought it was weird, as all i have read abut it, it should blink solid green. But i kept flying (only 10 meters around me and at max 3m in air). When i was going a bit higher (for the first time) it suddenly just started flying away, and landed safely at the first place i set the home location.

The battery was at 18% when i got home 5 min after and checked in the PC. I switched S2 to HL right away and pulled the right stick all the way down. Don't know if that had anything to do with it landing safely. When it was safe on the ground it blinked all red...

I ave NO clue what happen... All help are appreciated. I will not fly before i have located the problem.

Isn't that the normal failsafe behaviour for a low battery? Copter goes to programmed height and then executes a return to home flight/land? Isn't this described in your manual?

Yes i thought so to. But when i connected the Phantom to the PC and launched PT2 assistant, the battery displayed 18%. My manual says it goes back home at 15.

But i hope that's what happened. Never again start to fly, and then move. Thought my PT2 was going total crazy.

One more thing, it was power lines nearby. Not huge ones. But like heavy street power lines Could that interfere the transmission signal?

If it says 18% on the bench then it certainly would have hit 15% while in flight and under a load. So it worked perfectly. That's actually a very cool feature. It even calculates how far away you are and will trip earlier if it needs more flight time to get back home.

I think it's unlikely unless you were very close but I don't really know. Better to be safe than sorry. Others here will know better as I've never gone anywhere near power lines.
