For those of you that would rather be able to use standard ESC's with an MK flight controller there's a new I2C to PWM convertor available that is ridiculously cheap, I just bought a pair of them for less than $30 and it will handle up to 8 ESC's. You can find them here... http://abusemark.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=3 and read about them here... http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1399162 1200 Yen is roughly $14.50 US at today's exchange rates, considerably better price than the Flash RC convertor which is at least 3X more expensive.
I'll be testing one of them out on my coax octo build using the MK flight controller currently powering my stock Hexa. If it works as well as it appears to and I like the way it flys, there may be a Hoverfly Pro board for sale soon.
