Has anyone actually experienced a fault in the i2c circuit on a single BL-ctrl that has resulted in the whole circuit going down and taking ALL the motors out? I have read about it and, in order to make this AD-8 as bullet-proof as possible, even bought the little i2c isolator circuit board that separates the individual BL-ctrl board i2c lines.
But what a pain it is going to be to install on a regular MK Octo XL distribution board. As the capacitors at one end and the i2c links at the other actually support the assembled dist. board, installing the i2c isolator is probably going to involve cutting the traces on the dist. board to break contact between them all. Jeez!
If this type of i2c failure is rare perhaps I won't bother installing the isolator board this time around.
