Got a Phantom 2 with Zenmuse 3h-2D gimbal. I also have the original Phantom and a DJI S800 EVO.
Not particularly happy with the Phantom 2's supplied TX. The gimbal tilt control partially worked for a short time, then gave out. I guessed it was the potentiometer, so I replaced it with another and placed it on the front for better access. Turns out it was a bigger problem than just the pot. So that forced me (thankfully) to migrate to my Futaba 8FG Super that I use with my S800. Still wasn't happy with the camera tilt control for the Zenmuse. Went searching on the net to find a solution. Only found bits and pieces that got me working on a solution. I'm sure others have done this, but I couldn't find anything in one place, so I thought I would share my results.
I'm now able to tilt from 0° to 90° and anywhere in between manually (wasn't able to do that on the original TX even though I'm told you should be able to), and also control manually from 0°-45° or 45°- 90° with a flick of a switch. BUT, even better, I now can have slo-mo tilt and the added choice of a controlled tilt at different speeds! What I means is I can go from 0° to 90° at an even pace of 5 seconds or extend the pan to 10 seconds, and even this is adjustable within the program. I would love someone to show me how to add that function to the remaining slider (LS).
So here's a demo showing the the TX controlling the gimbal:

And here is a pdf file of the instructions: http://itsreal3d.com/Tiltinstructions.pdf
Note: I found the LS and RS sliders to be a bit stiff, so I took needle nose pliers to the pressure plate on the sliders to reduce the tension. Much better now!
