Hello all, I'm Stu, a new member from the UK. Still pretty new to multirotors, but loving every minute of it!! Started off with a Revell Hexatron, and having no experience I thought it was brilliant!! Obviously know better now! Got a little Husban X4 next, and being massively over confident (I can fly a big hexacopter, how hard can a tiny little quad be??)......... well, that is still stuck in a neighbour's gutter, and as it is a 3 story house, it's not going to be going anywhere any time soon! Bit the bullet, and bought a Phantom 3 Advanced, and it is awesome!!! Love it to bits, and thank god I learned my lesson of over confidence with the X4! Getting better at pointing the camera where I want it, although I know nothing about camera settings - previously I had only used the camera on my phone, and before that they still had film! So expect some very beginner questions on camera setup!! Being very careful with the P3A, and want to use it just as a camera platform. It's brilliant at it, and too expensive (for me!) to do any potentially risky flying, low and fast, through obstacles etc, so want to keep my baby safe and not be a hooligan with it. However, I do like the odd bit of hooliganism, so decided to build my own - if I can build it, then theoretically I can fix it as and when the ground jumps up at me. Plus, building one should teach me a lot about what goes where, does what and why, so can only help me improve all round. It'll also be something that I can tinker with, add to over the months, modify and do all the things that I won't do to the Phantom, so again, please forgive the endless questions!

Looking forward to talking to you all.

Welcome aboard Stu. I think you'll find the crew here at MRF to be very friendly, knowledgable and willing to answer questions.

Don't be afraid to search for clues first :). But everyone around here is here to help you through any issues you might encounter with your build.

Have fun and fly safe!
