Just wanted to say hello and maybe get a little help from people that more experience than me. I have been interested in multirotors for a while now and have finally decided to pull the trigger in getting/building one. I have been reading into them and trying to get enough info but seems like I read one place I read something opposite somewhere else. So I am hoping to clarify some things. First off I really like to make things myself even if it costs a little more. I made a home CNC machine and have made several things with it so I am wanting to use it as much as possible. I am looking to build something that can carry a GoPro or something similar for about 20 minutes or so. So that said I am also a mechanical designer so I draw in 3D at work all day so I can design just about anything I can think of. With all of that said I can't decide on where to start. I have thought about making things all from scratch but not sure on how thick parts need to be and things like that. I have looked into buying like a Tarot 680 Pro and just add everything I would like to that and go from there. They seem resonably priced and a good structure to start from. Lets say I go with the Tarot 680 Pro. I have looked at the eCalc online using peoples exact builds ( I think im doing it right) and it comes up with like 5 min. flight time and they say they are getting 20 or so. So I am having a lot of trouble picking out motors and figuring out thrust and flight time and things like that. I attached a machine I drew up this week but I know now it is going to weigh waaaaayyy too much so its out of the question.

Easy? You call that easy?
Welcome to the forum! Sorry for the delay in replying! Alas when it's sunny we're all out flying and not sitting on the computer... :nevreness:

Keep at it, that first build is hard but you come out the other side a king!
