I'm a complete noob to the R/C scene. Thanks for having me!

I'm nearly 100% ready to pull the trigger on my first trainer multirotor and am leaning toward the Dromida Ominus to help get me through the learning curve on a tight budget! My LHS stocks tons of spare parts so that's a bonus but I'm wondering that is the best route or could I effectively learn the basics if flight on an even smaller machine?

Welcome Jay!

I would say the Domida is a great choice, especially if the LHS stocks parts. The Blade NanoQX is another good choice, but either would be a great way to learn the ropes and get comfortable with orientation and controls. The blade might be better if you wanted to fly a lot indoors. The Dromida probably handles outdoor winds better.

Good luck and fly safe!
