Hey guys

New user here from Sweden (englishman with swedish wife).

I saw my first quad in september. It was a video of the best toy in the world from wartox. I saved up some funds and purchased a sk450 with all the equipment from hobbyking and was very surprised at how easy it was to het this thing up in the air.

I was a it unhappy with the feel and look of the frame, so being a furniture carpenter I built one myself. I built it small so I can transport it round easily and it flies like a rocket.

Anyway heres my machine.

Sexy machine - probably design influenced by your Swedish partner! - haven't I seen this in Ikea in yellow, orange and green options?

Thanks for your compliments guys!

I guess the Swedish influance does come into the design. I love easy simple looking solutions to things (I hate the sellotape holding the cables to the arms but that will have to do for now).

I will get some videos up sometime, but before theres any exciting action with the big quad, Im learning the moves on the little ladybird clone. Very zippy fun machine.

I have only had experience with the KK2 board, I cant imagine not having an LCD on the quadcopter, as Its so easy to make adjustments on the field. The only problem I seem to have had with it is when it was really cold a couple of weeks ago, I had to retrim all the time, I guess the gyros couldnt handle -18c.

Ive just updated the KK2 to 1.5 after seeing positive reviews of the self leveling, this had never really interested me as I want to fly acrobatic, but now I have my fatsharks, the self level really helps in the learning process.
