I have a DJI Naza F450 with GPS.. I had this for xmas and has been flying great without problems.. Approx 2 weeks ago I have noticed that the GPS is having problems locking on no matter how long I leave it switched on for.. When flying I can have 1 green flash followed by 3 red flashes it can have all red flashes.. Looking at the manual all red flash means voltage low.. I have tried a different battery where I can fly using either which are fully charged for approx 12 - 15 minutes but still flashes red.. I am concerned that if I chose the failsafe this would not come back. Also when I hover and whilst in GPS mode and persumably because I dont have a GPS lock the naza drifts to the left and back.

Any help in solving this issue would be appreciated.
Thanks

Easy? You call that easy?
What have you set your voltage cutoff too? A little drift is probably okay. Recalibrating the compass helps.

Are you in an open area? My GPS sometimes takes up to a minute to lock on.

Hi The voltage cutoff is set to the default, I have tried on numerous occasions to recalibrate the compass and according to the lights when doing so this is sucsessful.. And yes when I fly this is in a filed so no obstructions there.

Thanks

If it is showing three red flashes, that just means you are locked on to more than 5 satellites. If it is rapidly flashing red continuously, yes that means you have a low battery. If you have some sort of volt meter to test the actual battery voltage, make sure you calibrate the battery voltage in the Naza software to match your actual battery voltage. Mine was off quite a bit and made a huge difference on the low voltage alert coming on. Calibrating the battery voltage is at the bottom of page 29 in the Naza manual.

Hi I have read in the manual that if you have 3 red flashed and 1 green means you have less than 5 satelites not more than..

Took the quad out again tonight still the same will not lock on to GPS tried to hover but will not stay in one plave just drifts back..

Is there anyway I can check if the GPS is working properly??

Thanks

Sorry about that Shaun, I looked at the chart but mixed up on which lights mean less than 5. Just curious, what are your basic settings in the software? Maybe you have your gain too low and it's not holding. I'm still in the process of tuning my F450 so I am by far no expert. I did learn the other day on mine when it wouldn't lock in altitude, I noticed the green light flashing twice like there was stick movement on the tx but I wasn't even touching the sticks. Reason was is because I had the throttle just a hair below 50% and it was seeing that as stick movement. Soon as I moved the stick up and light was one green flash, it held altitude rock solid. Good luck and hopefully some of the pros will chime in and help you out.

How long do you wait for the GPS to lock on before flying? Mine sometimes takes a minute. Just leave the craft sitting there plugged in until you see only green flashes. Of course it won't hold position if you have three red flashes. It has no GPS lock so doesn't know where it is.

Good luck mate! You'll get there!
