Help! Broken hexacopter frame

Hello,

I recently built my first hexacopter, and after a few days, I got courageous and decided to fly higher than I have before. Eventually, it got so high I couldn't tell which direction was the front, and when I tried to bring back towards me, I went the wrong direction. The hexacopter hit a tree and fell a great distance to the ground. Fortunately, almost everything survived the fall; however, one of the arms of the multirotor snapped off. I have a Tarot Iron Man 680 TL68C01 frame. I was hoping I could find and order a replacement arm, but I can't seem to find the part. Thanks for the help in advance. I measured the other arms, and I believe the arm is 285mm long and has a diameter of 16mm.

Hey! Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear about your crash. Put your location in your profile so people know where you're at - and it will help with making suggestions for retailers etc.

The 680 you have is the original? Not the 680Pro, correct? Regardless, I believe several retailers are selling these in the USA now (especially the Pro version), and there are MANY elsewhere in the world. In the USA you can try CNCheli and rangevideo. I believe hobby king is carrying the pro now.

You could also just order a 16mm boom of appropriate length and cut it (make sure you're careful cutting CF). THIS boom would need cutting.

As far as orientation - might think about some LEDs for letting you know direction. Also. Which FC are you using. These moments are when GPS and RTH can come in very handy.

Good luck and fly safe.
