Hey everyone,
Glad that I found this forum! I've been flying RC planes and Helis for a long time (and, no, that info is not included in my online dating profile) but just getting into combining the two.
I just picked up a Phantom 2 Vision + 2 days ago and I'm already hooked. Living in Colorado there is no shortage of great scenery to capture (plus, I now know what my upstairs neighbors look like naked).
I currently shoot with a Nikon D7100 which takes great photos and decent video so I'm already looking for a platform to get it in the air. I'm an audio engineer and work with bands a lot and it would be awesome to offer ariel video for music videos. If anyone know of a good gimbal/platform for the 7100 (a little smaller than the Canon 5D) then I'd love to hear about it. It will take a while to save but I'm looking at the DJI S900. There's been some temptation lately to switch to the Canon 5D as it seems to be the king of DSLRs for video and I'm doing more video for people but the Nikon 7100 is no slouch and I've always used Nikons so am used to the layout and, of course, have invested in a few high quality lenses that would have to be sold off, as well.
So, that's my story, thanks for having me!
Ryan
