a few years ago I bought a 450 Helicopter and crashed... a lot. never quite got to grips with it bit loved it all anyway.
then i saw some videos online of multirotors, so a few months ago i decided to just build one. took a while between ordering parts and working away in china but finally got the Quad in the air. and love it so much.

I'm an ROV pilot by profession and flying a quad has a lot in common with that.

currently playing with multiwii because I was having some strange problems with Arducopter so I took the lazy way. Just want to get some time in the air and get the feel of the quad. worksa treat!!

last week at the Offshore Europe exhibition I met the guys from Cyber hawk. and went home and built myself an Octo V-frame. I mounted a brushless camera gimbal for my GoPro and am just waiting for the motors and ESCs to arrive.

Cant wait!!!

was wondering if there was anyone else from aberdeen thats into this?

anyway. Hi everyone! :)

Yeah I did a bit at looking around and found a couple. One of the is also an ROV pilot, what's the chances of that?!

They say NZ is just like Scotland with its landscape but I bet the weather is better ;-)

Hey Geary, welcome to the forum. I'm an ROV Plonker too BTW :)
Been waiting on the Xaircraft TAG V6 release which seems to be never coming, which V Frame did you use?
