Has anyone tried using O.S. motors for multis?

YES!! We are using the OS 30 Brushless motors on our line of Multi's. So far, reliability has been a non issue. We're swinging 13X6.5 props with 4s packs.

I'm listening... sounds interesting but I am also pretty certain that with the wealth of knowledgeable individuals present and contributing to this great website, this idea must have already been explored due to the goings on in the heavy lift multirotor threads currently which are inspecting the sources of issues being caused by motors costing nearly triple the price! It's an interesting idea, nonetheless, but just know we had to have covered the obvious options to get into the complicated (mess) situation we are dealing with over there.
