H3-2D gimbal users - how to improve on control?

I've been using the H3-2D gimbal on a F550 and a Phantom 2. Generally very good at stabilistation but there's a couple of things I'd like that I can't get.

1- Removal of twitchy Yaw / rudder movement. While I'm flying I don' t seem to notice it but when I watch footage later, shots are spoilt by uncommanded rudder as the camera twitches a little to the left and right. I see this is where a more advanced 3 axis gimbal comes in. The 3rd axis would counter act the rudder. I'm assuming it's the flight controller that's making rudder movements. They way I sort that now is using After Effects camera stabilisation.

2- Smoother pitch control. When I do up or down moves with the pitch control it seems quite sudden no matter how subtle I make the move. I can't seem to make this any softer. I use er9x control on a 9x which I thought might have a a way top smooth it out.
Any suggestions?
thanks!

..I've just seen that there's now a H3-3D - looks like the answer for removing the twitch.
I'm wondering if it allows for pans as a control input, or if the aircraft rudder is used as a pan, will it dampen clumsy moves?
Looking forward to seeing some demos of it in action.
